My main areas of interest include perinatal and infant mental health, youth mental health, parenting and family wellbeing and trauma recovery.

I offer personalised and ongoing support for:

 Professional supervision

Through Caitlin Mullins Psychology I also offer professional supervision for practitioners in both government and non-government organisations across the health, social and community sectors. This includes individual and team supervision. I work from a ‘reflective practice’ approach, bringing conscious awareness to our practice to engage in a process of continuous learning. I have experience working in rural and remote locations, in multidisciplinary teams, and with individuals and families with complex histories and support needs. My supervision is informed by theories of lifespan development, attachment, neuroscience, social ecological systems and trauma. I see supervision as a collaborative process, led by the practitioner. Practitioners often use supervision to:

  • Discuss complex client cases including assessment, case conceptualisation, possible responses and ethical considerations

  • Debrief critical or traumatic workplace incidents

  • Support positive workplace relationships, team communication and functioning

  • Explore professional issues including knowledge and skills development, career direction, further study or training opportunities

  • Promote practitioner self-care, personal wellbeing and work-life balance

Training and consultancy

I deliver training and consulting for government, not-for-profit and private organisations that includes customised workforce development, project management and knowledge creation and translation. I can support organisations to plan, design, implement and evaluate their work and develop their workforce. I have specific experience in:

  • Conducting needs analysis, evidence reviews and evaluations

  • Developing practice frameworks, service models and processes, implementation plans, discussion papers and policy positions for internal and external audiences

  • Facilitating meetings, workshops and co-design processes

  • Developing and delivering tailored professional development activities including one-off or a series of training workshops and lunchbox learning sessions
